First Aid Courses
Safety always comes first when diving. That is why ZPV Piranha offers first aid courses specifically aimed at (future) divers. You can come to us for training courses from both Divers Alert Network (DAN) and React Right (SSI). These courses cover the basics of first aid, but also go deeper into dive-specific situations, such as decompression sickness, lung overpressure and administering oxygen in a diving accident.
First aid courses are particularly important if you want to develop further as a diver. For example, they are a requirement for obtaining your Stress & Rescue licence or if you want to work as a Divemaster or higher within the SSI Pro courses. But even as a recreational diver, a first aid course increases your confidence and safety under water.

The courses are largely theoretical and are usually held during the winter season, so you can stay active outside the diving season. They take place in the evenings or at weekends, usually at the Bastille. The course also includes practical practice with oxygen cases and other first-aid equipment, so you know how to act in an emergency situation.

As soon as new course dates are known, they will be published on our website and on Amazon. It is also possible to organise a course on request, for example for a group of interested people. Do you have questions or would you like to pass on your interest in advance? Then feel free to contact us!
